3rd Friday is going to me very
important day for “Chennai Express” because it is just few laksh away form ETT’s
record and 2.40 crores from 200 crores mile stone. Now it is sure to achieve
this honor on this Friday. Yesterday film got another honor and become second
film of Indian cinema that cross 100 crores bench mark on overseas centers.
Four year ago, Three Idiots has done so and garnered around 185 crores.
Now, let us come to the films second
week business, film did very well in second week and showed good jump on Tuesday
and Wednesday on Rakshabandhan further it showed slight drop on Thursday which
was normal working day and collected around 3.65 crores. CE finished 2nd week
around 41.31 crores and become third highest grosser film in third week after,
3 Idiots 56 crores and Yeh Jawani Hia Deewani 46 crores.
After completion of 2nd week, total
domestic collection is around 197.60 crores and total worldwide collection
around 298 crores. Gross worldwide collection is around 370 crores. Film will
lose some screen on Friday so its business will be somewhat affected due to
reduced screens and rest of thing is depend on new one’s performance.
